1. Product Overview The IMS ISL700_64A is a highly integrated CMOS photoelectric sensor that integrates 64 photodiodes(PDs) and their associated signal-processing circuitry. It is widely used in multi-mode smart photoelectric sensors based on distance measurement, including background suppression(BGS), foreground suppression(FGS), programmable windowing mode, dual-mode distance/background learning mode, and diffuse-reflective sensing with background suppression. Multiple on-chip parameters are programmable,providi ng a wide adjustable dynamic range and enabling per-application optimization. Sensor configuration supports push-button setup, teach-in, and IO-Link and other interface such as RS232/485, I2C. 2. Product Features • Highly integrated CMOS photoelectric sensor with 64 PDs and on-chip processing to implement triangulation-based distance measurement. • Programmable clocking to run multiple sensors side-by-side at different phases/frequencies without mutual interference. • Robust anti-interference capability; • Built in CLOSE_PLS (disable the emitter driver). With emission OFF, measure outputs to detect external interference and set corresponding anti-interference algorithms. • Pin SW_OUT provides the per-PD analog output in phase with PLS. You can compare it with a comparator and cross-check phase against the PLS (emitter) signal; if out-of-phase,externa l interference is indicated. • Fixed check bits in the shift register at bit ranges (3:0), (23:20), and (51:48). If these values change during use, STS goes LOW→HIGH to signal a sensor error; incoming data are CRC-checked. • Programmable LED driver (0-255) to provide a wide optical dynamic range. • External clock inputs via Ext_slxglk and Ext_clk_hf allow adjusting PLS pulse width, duty cycle, and frequency. Supports up to 200 kHz PLS and 1 us pulse width. • Programmable gain enabling a very large dynamic range: (1-16)x(2-32)x(2-32) x(0.9-3.2). 3.
