The IMS.DSA-D100 is a triangulation-based laser distance sensor designed for precise distance measurement ranging from 30mm to 100mm. It features a digital output via I2C, providing a linear representation of the target distance, which simplifies integration with microcontrollers. The sensor maintains high accuracy, with a typical error of ¬±2.5mm for standard opaque objects. It is equipped with a high-performance CMOS integrated photo ASIC and includes a built-in digital filter to reject ambient light interference. The device operates within a power supply range of 3.5 to 7VDC and has a maximum current consumption of 20mA. It is designed to function effectively in ambient light conditions up to 11,000 lux, making it suitable for various environments. The sensor also includes reverse polarity protection and has a response time of 15ms. Operating temperature ranges from -20¬8C to 55¬8C, with storage capabilities extending from -25¬8C to 65¬8C, provided there is no icing or condensation. This sensor is ideal for applications requiring accurate distance measurement in compact designs.
This sensor use Multi-Element receiver Array to measure the target distance ranged from 15mm-100mm, with accuracy of +/-2mm. Compared with the popular analog distance sensor, this sensor has an I2C digital output that is linearly proportional to the target distance and can be read by a MCU directly. User will not need to do the linearization calculation as in the case of other sensor.
