The S.I.Tech 2950 is a Fast Ethernet media converter designed to extend 100 Mbps Ethernet connections over fiber optic cable up to 2 km using multimode fiber or 7 km using singlemode fiber. It features an RJ45 interface for twisted-pair networks and supports ST, FC, SC, or SMA optical connectors. The device has a metal enclosure measuring 7.5" W × 3" H × 7" L and includes LED indicators for power, optical signal, and Ethernet link status. It operates from 110 VAC or 230 VAC input, consumes 10 W, and functions within 0°C to 50°C. It is UL and CSA listed and meets FCC Class A, Part 15, and IEEE 802.3 standards.
S.I.Tech 2950 Ethernet Fiber Optic Media Converter is designed to extend the distance of Ethernet based STP LAN's on a fiber optic cable up to 7 km*. The media converter has RJ45 connector allowing connection to the STP network devices and provides ST, FC, SC or SMA fiber optic connectors (Media Independant Interface (MII) Option). Three LED indicators provide a visible verification of transmission status and media converter functions.
