The S.I.Tech 2188 is a USB 3.0 hub to fiber optic media converter designed to extend USB 3.0 signals up to 100 meters over multimode fiber. It features two USB Type A ports with 5 Gbps data transfer, LC optical connectors, and operates at an 850 nm wavelength. The device is compliant with the USB 3.0 specification and is not backward compatible with USB 1.1 or 2.0. It uses a metal enclosure measuring 3.9" × 3.0" × 1.0" (100 × 76 × 26 mm), is powered by 5 VDC (4.75 to 5.50 VDC), and operates within a temperature range of 0°C to 40°C.
