Description The VF-3205A GPS Receiver provides extraordinary stability in a highly flexible approach to utilizing the cesium stability of GPS satellite systems. It is an excellent performance frequency standard and provides a number of time standard features. The VF-3205A is available in OEM (VF-3205A/O, board only), desktop (VF-3205A/D) and 1U (VF-3205A/R) versions. Frequency standard performance is determined by the on-board local TCXO oscillator. The VF-3205A is equipped with one 10MHz RF output with 1MHz and 5MHz available as options. Additionally, the unit provides a highly accurate 1 PPS output. For timing, synchronization and time keeping applications the unit provides PPS and NTP (optional). The 1 PPS output is accurate to within <50 ns (1 sigma of UTC (USNO)). For monitoring and control, the unit has an RS-232-C monitor/control interface and also houses a 10/100 Base T Ethernet interface (RJ-45) with various protocols suited to different user needs from a simple Telnet interface to a fully web-driven browser. Also included is an on-time RS-232-C “print” output providing a standard format ASCII output string of date and time.
