Inspection Kit for Moisture Testing of Concrete and Wood Flooring Designed for the flooring industry. These instruments plus service tools and spare pins are neatly contained in a rugged and attractive die cut foam lined carrying case. A Concrete Moisture Encounter 4 for non-destructive and instant moisture testing of concrete flooring
Regular checking of moisture content during the drying out period of a new concrete floor or floor screed is important to ensure it has reached sufficient dryness to accept the floor covering.
Excess moisture in the concrete could cause latent problems such as condensation or failure of the adhesive under the floor covering.
The Concrete Moisture Encounter 4 will give you an instant reading of moisture content up to 6% concrete; up to 0 - 10 comparitive on gypsum screed enabling you to make an informed decision on when to install the floor covering.
To use, simply switch on and hold the instrument firmly against the surface. As many non-destructive tests as you need can be carried out in seconds without the need to drill or damage the concrete.
The newly designed Tramex MRH III is a high performance multifunctional hybrid of the ever popular Moisture Encounter Plus. It operates on the principle of non-destructive impedance measurement. Parallel co-planar electrodes are mounted on the base which, during operation, transmit a low-frequency signal into the material under test. To carry out moisture tests simply press the MRH III firmly against the surface being tested and take a reading. There is no surface damage and the reading is immediate. The MRH III has 5 different measurement scales: Wood, Roofing, Masonry, Drywall and laminate. It reads percentage of moisture in wood with adjustable specific gravity settings from 0.3 to 0.8. All other building materials are read on a comparable scale.
