Torque Multipliers are used to reduce the amount of user effort required to achieve high levels of torque. Torque multipliers are quicker and more compact than hydraulic wrenches, which allows them access to small, or remote, work sites. The torque multiplier is designed to be used with micrometer "click" torque wrenches for greater accuracy. Torque multipliers with Planetary-Gear Mechanisms are designed where high torques are necessary for fastening or breaking out stubborn fasteners. The planetary gear mechanism on the torque multiplier allows the operator a safe and easy means of producing torque for a wide variety of job applications. The precision planetary gear multiplies the operator's input from standard torque wrenches. The precision planetary gears can also multiply the torque from air-driven (non-impact) torque wrenches.
