The UL5-3.5G-670 is a red laser diode module emitting 3.5 mW at 670 nm with continuous wave operation in a single-mode structure. It features an adjustable elliptical spot size with a minimum of 100 μm at distances under 10 inches and low divergence under 1 mrad when collimated. The module operates on 3 to 5 V DC with less than 45 mA current draw and includes auto power control for stability under 1% with heat sink. It is Class IIIA/3R, has ESD and reverse polarity protection, and is housed in a 10.5 mm diameter by 26 mm length anodized aluminum body with a 380 mm cable. Recommended heat sink use is noted for extended operation. Operating temperature ranges from +10°C to +40°C, with storage from -40°C to +80°C. The case is electrically connected to the circuit, and the anodized surface must remain intact.
