RWM Caster’s Durastan Phenolic Wheels are molded from prime phenolic resin compounds for maximum density and strength. Durastan Phenolic Wheels are made of a special water resistant compound using a homogeneous fiber reinforcement that gives excellent service even in wet and cold applications. In addition, Durastan Wheels resist degradation, deterioration, corrosion from oil, grease, commonly used acids and solvents. Durastan Phenolic Wheels are recommended for all types of floors except resilient tile. Durastan wheels should not be towed at high speeds or used on poor or damaged floors. FEATURES Wheel Bearings Patented Kingpinless™ single ball bearing precision-machined raceway hardened to 53 Rockwell C. minimum. Swivel section features 2 1/8” diameter raceway with ¼” ball bearings. Retaining Washer All wheels 1-1/2′ and wider with roller bearings are equipped with a metal thrust/retainer washer Temperature Range -65° to 275°F continuously, 300°F intermittently Bores Special sizes available upon request Bores ½” bolt and locking nut drilled with lube fitting. Lubrication Lubrication fittings standard on 2-1/2′ and wider wheels Hardness 90 Shore D Durometer APPLICATIONS Durastan Phenolic Wheels are made from macerated cotton canvas and mixed with a quality premium phenolic resin compound. They are molded under high pressure under controlled conditions to produce a maximum density, superior strength product. Durastan Phenolic Wheels are extremely hard 90 Shore D, and roll very easily. They are not as loud as steel wheels and provide better floor protection. They are a very popular wheel and are used in a wide range of industrial applications including manufacturing, warehousing and bakeries. Durastan Phenolic Wheels are very economical. Special high temperature Durastan Phenolic Wheels are available for –45° to 475° Fahrenheit applications found in industrial bakeries and other high temperature applications. Durastan phenolic wheels are not recommended for submerged or constant wet environments.
