Description
The F-836 3D alignment system consists of stacked linear stages from the L-836 series. High-resolution stepper motors, high-precision recirculating ball bearing guides, and precision linear encoders make the L-836 linear stages ideal for applications that require a high resolution, high repeatability, and high velocity in conjunction with compact dimensions. The F-836 XYZ system offers 3 or 6 linear degrees of freedom for 3D alignment. The scalability of the system towards further degrees of freedom is ensured by the future option of integrating goniometers. Controller and FMPA routines The alignment system is supplied complete with a preconfigured ACS controller that controls all axes both in the single-sided and double-sided configurations. FMPA routines with a rapid area scan and gradient search have been implemented in the controller (ACS buffer). Application fields Applications for 3D alignment over a large travel range by maximizing an analog signal (short and longer travel ranges available). Applications with only one input channel and one output channel, i.e., for the alignment of single optical fibers.
