The PCE-WS A is a robust anemometer for fixed installation, designed to measure wind speed directly in applications such as wind warning systems, building automation, and home technology. It features a star-shaped design for omnidirectional operation, a PA plastic housing resistant to corrosion, and IP65 protection. The device offers 4 to 20 mA passive output, with a measuring range of 0.8 to 50 m/s and an accuracy of ±0.27 m/s below 4 m/s or ±3% above. It operates on 12 to 30 V DC, within a temperature range of -20 to +80 °C at up to 95% relative humidity, and includes a standard 20 m connection cable. The maximum wind speed it can withstand is 55 m/s.
