The CHAF5 Series is a 50A automotive relay with 1 Form A or 1 Form C contacts, designed for automotive applications including cooling fans and defoggers. It operates at 12VDC or 24VDC with a coil power of 1.6W or 1.8W, and switches up to 50A at 30VDC and 700W. Contacts are silver alloy with a max initial resistance of 200mV at 10A. Mechanical endurance is 10,000,000 operations, electrical endurance 100,000 under rated load. Operate and release times are 10ms max. at nominal voltage. Insulation resistance is 100MΩ min at 500VDC; dielectric strength is ≥500VAC between coil and contacts. Operating temperature is -40°C to +125°C. Available in QC or PCB terminals with vented or sealed enclosures. Dimensions are 26.3mm x 16.8mm x 8.9mm. Weight is approx. 26g. Complies with RoHS and ELV.
