The ATCA-9305 from Artesyn Embedded Technologies is an AdvancedTCA® (ATCA) blade based on dual Cavium OCTEON CN5860 processors and a Freescale Semiconductor management processor.
The ATCA-9305 is targeted at security and packet-processing applications in the wireless and transport market segments. This market includes data plane packet processor, security coprocessor, video compression, and pattern matching.
Software support includes Wind River Linux, Cavium's packet processing SDK, and 6WIND's 6WINDGate™ fast path networking stacks.
The ATCA-9305 can operate with or without rear transition modules (RTMs) depending on system architecture, and is designed to meet NEBS/ETSI requirements. The blade is optimized to work with Artesyn's range of application-ready Centellis™ AdvancedTCA systems, which cover 2-slot, 6-slot and 14-slot variants that are designed to meet the needs of both telecom central office and network data center environments.
