The 10NW900 is a 10" neodymium low frequency driver that combines excellent linearity, good efficiency and high power handling capabilities. The transducer design is dedicated for low frequencty line arrays applications or for compact 2-way vented enclosures. In this case a cabinet volume as small as 20-25 Lit tuned around 55-60Hz represent classical application. The speaker could be Low-pass filtered typically up to frequencies around 1500-2000Hz. The extremely powerful external neodymium magnet assembly assures high flux concentration, low power compression and excellent heat exchange. The levels of force factor and power handling are, as a consequence, at the upper professional level with best power to weight ratio. The 65mm split voice coil employs Interleaved Sandwich Voice coil (ISV) technology. It is composed by a high strength fiberglas former used to carry windings on both the outer and inner surfaces, in order to achieve a mass balanced coil. This results in an extremely linear motor assembly which, in conjunction with the highly advanced design of the magnetic structure, provides a high BL force factor. The voice coil is cooled through airways placed between the chassis back plate and the magnet faceplate. In this way heated air is channeled away from the voice coil and the gap. Another technology present into the 10NW900 is the Single Demodulating Ring (SDR), used to reduce modulation distortion. Its effect linearize Impedance curve on mid-high frequencies with constant energy transfer over the useful frequency range. Our constant attention to continuous improvements drove our R&D to develop very long life test program research to study and improve resistance to mechanical fatigue applications under low frequency violent peaks: specific dedication has been turned to define a new lead wire material, leading to today's state-of-the-art results. The ability to perform in humid environments is an extra key feature of the 10NW900. This is achieved trough a custom made cone treatment which renders the cone humidity repellent while minimizing the total moving speaker mass increase.
96 dB SPL 1W / 1m average sensitivity
65 mm (2.5 in) Interleaved Sandwich split Voice coil (ISSV)
600W program power handling
External neodymium magnet assembly to reduce Thermal Power Compression
Unlimited life lead wire construction
Single Demodulating Ring (SDR)
Weather protected cone and plates for outdoor usage
Suitable for line arrays applications and compact(20 - 70 lt) two way systems
