The SMC is a twist-to-connect coupling that provides a reliable and more secure alternative to luer-type connections. It also allows for the tubing to rotate freely when connected. This important feature prevents both kinked tubing and accidental disconnection during use. Rated for vacuum to 100 psi, 6.9 bar. Temperature from -40F to 250F (-40C to 121C). Main components and locking sleeves are purple tinted polycarbonate and O-rings are Buna-N. Polycarbonate meets USP Class VI and ADCF requirements and EPDM meets USP Class V and ADCF requirements. Can be gamma sterilize up to 50 kGy irradiation.
