Thermal Wire and Cable's Tefzel 750 (special copolymer of ethylene and tetrafluoroethylene) insulated lead wires with tin-coated copper conductor, offers a wide service temperature range of -65C to +200C. Nickel-Plated Copper 24 AWG - 20AWG. 150C version available with more flexible stranding.
Tefzel 750 insulated conductors are 30% smaller in diameter than conventional 200C wires allowing installation in tight places. Also Tefzel 750 lead wires cost less than conventional PTFE or FEP Teflon insulated wires. The cost per 1000 ft. is less and scrap is reduced do to long continuous lengths.
Tefzel 750 lead wire produces very little smoke when burned, and is chemically inert to nearly all industrial chemicals and solvents. As a primary insulation Tefzel 750 couples superior dielectric properties, is abrasion resistant, heat resistant and its durability is second to none. Its flexible nature and small diameter profile provides for easy, economical installations. Fully pigmented insulation in bright colors aids in positive identification.
Compared with other high temperature cables that are augmented with a braid, Tefzel 750 insulated wire will slide rather than tear, yet its abrasion resistance helps eliminate cut-through and other damage that can occur during installation and use. Thermal Wire and Cable's lead wires are 20% smaller in diameter than braided cables allowing more circuits per conduit.
Available in 36 AWG - 4/O. Larger sizes available, please consult sales department. Teflon is a registered trademark of the DuPont Corporation. Available in multi conductor cables and shielded pairs a period.
*Please specify color : 0-black, 1-brown, 2-red, 3-orange, 4-yellow, 5-green, 6-blue, 7-purple, 8-gray, 9-white. Stripe color example : -100 tan base color with two black stripes.
Intended Use : Internal Wiring of Appliances. UL Recognized; CSA Certified. Conductor options :Solid or stranded pure nickel. Tin-coated copper is standard.
**Ampacity based on single conductor in free air @ 40C. Please consult article 310 of the national electrical code for further application and ampacity information.
