Texas Instruments TP3071 COMBO II Programmable PCM CODEC/Filter TP3071N-G

The TP3071N-G is a programmable PCM CODEC and filter device designed for digital switching applications in subscriber line and trunk cards. It features a complete CODEC and filter system, including transmit and receive PCM channel filters, a selectable ¬µ-law or A-law companding encoder and decoder, and a receive power amplifier capable of driving 300W. The device supports a maximum serial PCM data rate of 4.096 MHz and offers programmable functions such as transmit and receive gain adjustments over a range of 25.4 dB in 0.1 dB steps, hybrid balance cancellation filtering, and time-slot assignment for up to 64 slots per frame. The TP3071N-G is compatible with TTL and CMOS digital interfaces and operates at a typical power consumption of 80 mW, with a standby power of 1.5 mW. It is designed for use in compliance with CCITT and LSSGR standards, making it suitable for various telecommunications applications. Extended temperature versions are available, supporting operation from -40¬8C to +85¬8C. The device includes multiple programmable latches for interfacing with solid-state SLICs, enhancing its versatility in different circuit configurations.
