The FabricPac 2.16 Packet Switch Fabric Ready Platform is a 19 inch rackmountable/bencht
op chassis that can be configured to meet your CompactPCI Packet Switch Fabric needs. This system comes complete with an Intel Pentium III CompactPCI SBC, Layer 2 or 3 Switch Card, EIDE hard drive, CD, floppy drive, your choice of memory, and OS (Windows 2000, Windows NT, Linux, or Solaris). The FabricPac takes all the above components and wraps them into a NEBS-ready 505 Series enclosure. The 505 Series is 19” wide, 14” high, and 12” deep.
At the heart of the system is the all new FABRICON™ eight slot 2.16 Packet Switch compliant backplane. The chassis is designed to support Hot Swap, N+1 350W front pluggable power supplies with AC or DC input. A front pluggable positive pressure cooling scheme with two 12VDC 90 CFM fans and tach alarm output provides low MTTR and high reliability. Front panel controls/indicators include a DC inhibit switch, backplane voltage LEDs, and an ESD jack.
