The University Sound MIS8C is a 10-watt reflex paging projector designed for flush mounting, suitable for both indoor and outdoor use due to its weatherproof construction. It features a rugged phenolic diaphragm and a high-temperature rated 0.75-inch voice coil, ensuring reliability under demanding conditions. The loudspeaker maintains a dispersion angle of 100¬8 ¬±25¬8 across a frequency range of 1,200 Hz to 3,000 Hz, with excellent speech intelligibility and a low-frequency cutoff of 600 Hz. The MIS8C has a sound pressure level of 101 dB (1W/1M) when tested with a pink noise signal from 500 Hz to 5,000 Hz. It is designed for low-impedance systems, with a nominal impedance of eight ohms. The compact horn measures 5.5 inches in diameter and 4.2 inches deep, weighing 1.3 lbs (0.6 kg). Six mounting holes are provided for easy installation. For optimal performance, a capacitor is recommended to protect the driver and amplifier from excessive current when low frequencies are applied.
