Model 378A07 is a 1/2" free-field infrasound microphone system designed for various environmental applications, including wind turbine measurements, earthquake analysis, and sonic boom assessments. It features a frequency response range from 0.1 Hz to 20 kHz and a dynamic range of 20 dB(A) to 136 dB. The microphone is compliant with IEC 61094-4 WS2F standards and is suitable for use in IEC 61672 Class 1 sound level meter systems. The system includes a prepolarized microphone, a preamplifier, and a low-frequency filter adapter, allowing it to accurately measure infrasound levels below the human hearing threshold. It operates on a constant current supply of 2-20 mA and utilizes coaxial cables, which can reduce setup time and costs compared to traditional models. The microphone is also designed to compensate for its own presence in the sound field, enhancing measurement accuracy. With an operating temperature range of -40 to +176¬8F (-40 to +80¬8C) and a low inherent noise level of 20 dB[A] re 20 OºPa, the 378A07 is built to withstand demanding environmental conditions.
