Newport MKS Tilt Platform, Stainless Steel, 6.30 x 9.45 in., ±2.86° Range, 1/4-20 TGN160

Description
The TGN160 Tilt Platform precisely controls tilt for one rotational axis over a range of ±2.86° with 1 arc sec Sensitivity. The 6.30 x 9.45 inch mounting plates are fabricated from stainless steel for excellent rigidity and stability. The top plate features 1/4-20 threaded mounting holes. The included micrometer is preloaded for smooth, backlash-free motion. Clearance holes in the top plate facilitate mounting of a wide range of components to the platform. TGN Series stages attach to tables and breadboards via clearance slots in the bottom plate and are used for high-resolution alignment of components, especially large or heavy equipment. Removable Actuators The micrometer that is included with the TGN stage is preloaded for smooth, backlash-free motion. It can be removed to allow the use of other linear actuators. Stackable Design TGN tilt stages can be stacked together orthogonally or in-line to extend tilt range or add an additional tip axis. Shown is two TGN80 tilt platforms in a tip/tilt configuration. Easily Combined for Multi-axis Motion The TGN Series Tilt Platforms are compatible with UMR Steel Linear Stages, UTR Steel Rotation Stages, and MVN Precision Vertical Stages of matching size (for example, TGN80 with UMR8.25 and UTR80, or TGN120 with UTR 120 and MVN120). They can be combined to provide multi-axis motion and can be easily adapted to fit a specific system's needs. In the picture, a six-axis manual positioning system is shown using two UMR8.25s, two TGN80s, a UTR80S, and a MVN80. (Hint: first assemble Y & Z stages from the backside of Y stage, and then connect X stage to YZ from backside of X. In both steps, the carriage of UMR stage needs to be translated to each end of the travel range to reveal access holes, please refer to UMR stage XY assembly video.)
