Century Spring Corp. BB Series Disc Springs BB-6312

Description
A disc spring (sometimes called a "Belleville washer" after the inventor) consists primarily of a convex disc supported at the outer periphery by one force and an opposing force on the center of the disc. Disc springs are used singly, or in stacks, to achieve a desired load and travel. The advantage of a disc spring is that it generates high force in a very short spring length and with minimal movement when compressed. All Century Spring disc springs are subject to exacting manufacturing and quality control standards. All discs are preset so that they will not significantly relax under load over time. Century Spring also offers pre-stressed disc springs specifically sized for use with bolts.

Datasheet Summary
Powered by GS/AI

BB-6312 is a disc spring designed specifically for use with radial ball bearings, providing effective preloading to maintain positioning accuracy and eliminate end play. This spring minimizes vibration and shaft deflection, contributing to increased bearing rigidity and reduced running noise. Made from C1075 steel, it has a Rockwell hardness of C40-51, ensuring durability and performance under load. The dimensions include an outer diameter of 5.079 inches, an inner diameter of 3.366 inches, and a thickness of 1.250 inches. The load capacity at a deflection of 0.126 inches is 92.70 lbs. This product is suitable for applications requiring precise control and stability in bearing systems.
