The MP5048GU-P is a hot-swap controller designed to manage power connections in applications requiring safe insertion and removal of circuit cards. It operates within a voltage range of 24V to 60V and can handle a maximum output current of 15A. The device features an integrated 7mOc power FET and a built-in MOSFET driver, which simplifies the design by eliminating the need for external components like current-sense resistors and thermal sensors. Key features include integrated current sensing with a separate output for configuring over-current values, built-in soft start and insertion delay, output short-circuit protection, and over-temperature protection. The MP5048 also provides fuse health diagnostics and a fault signal output, making it suitable for industrial applications, servers, and networking equipment. It supports parallel operation for higher current applications and is packaged in a compact QFN-30 (5mm x 5mm) format.
