ARMATEX™ SF 45 is a medium-weight fiberglass fabric coated on both sides with silicone rubber, designed for high-temperature applications such as removable insulation pads, expansion joints, heat shields, and weld protection. It has a nominal weight of 45 oz/sy (1526 g/m) and a thickness of 0.060 inches (1.524 mm). The base fabric withstands up to 1000°F (538°C), while the silicone coating has a continuous temperature rating of 450°F (232°C) with transient exposure capability to 600°F (315°C). It is available in widths of 40 inches (1.016 m) or 60 inches (1.524 m), with standard roll sizes of 25 linear yards (0.635 m) weighing 118 lbs (53.5 kg). The material complies with MIL-I-24244, MIL-C-24576 (SH), ASTM E162, and ASTM E84.84a.
