The optris CT P7 is an infrared pyrometer designed for non-contact temperature measurement of thin plastic films, such as PET, PU, PTFE, and PA, with a range of 0 °C to 710 °C. It features a 7.9 μm spectral range and an optical resolution of 10:1. The sensing head has an IP65 (NEMA-4) rating and operates in ambient temperatures from -20 °C to 85 °C, while the separate electronics unit supports the same ambient range. The system offers adjustable analog outputs including 0/4-20 mA, 0-5 V, 0-10 V, and thermocouple types J or K, with optional digital interfaces such as USB, RS485, RS232, CAN-Bus, Profibus DP, and Ethernet. The sensing head weighs 200 g and the electronics unit 420 g. System accuracy is ±1 % or ±1.5 °C (whichever is greater) at ambient temperatures of 23 ±5 °C, with repeatability of ±0.5 % or ±0.5 °C.
