Master Bond, Inc. Two Component Epoxy EP41S Features Chemical Resistance EP41S

Description
Master Bond Polymer System EP41S is a two component epoxy resin compound for durable, high performance, tough, high strength coatings, liners and adhesive/sealants with outstanding resistance to organic solvents including alcohols and fuels. The EP41S compound which is formulated to cure at room temperature or more rapidly at elevated temperatures with a convenient five-to-one non-critical mix ratio by weight, offers a degree of resistance to organic solvents and toughness unmatched by any other currently available epoxy resin composition. It can successfully withstand, for example, prolonged immersion in such active organic solvents as alcohols, gasoline, trichloroethylene and butyl acetate for more than one year making it a prime candidate for applications such as chemical storage tanks, fuel tanks, chemical piping, fuel handling equipment and chemical processing equipment. Master Bond Polymer System EP41S also features excellent resistance to inorganic acids, ammonia and many other chemicals. Properly cured EP41S coatings, liners etc., conform to section 175.300 of the FDA Register and can be used in direct contact with foods. Master Bond Polymer System EP41S is 100% reactive, does not contain any solvents or diluents and cures with minimal shrinkage. It readily develops a high bonding strength of more than 2500 psi at room temperature to both metallic and many non-metallic substrates which unlike that of many other epoxy resin compounds, is relatively insensitive to mixing ratio and/or substrate cleaning procedures. Master Bond Polymer System EP41S can be applied without sagging or dripping even on vertical substrates. It produces exceptionally durable, high performance, tough, high strength coatings, liners and adhesive/sealants with outstanding resistance to organic solvents which are likewise remarkably resistant to thermal cycling over the wide temperature range of -60°F to +250°F. Adhesion to metals, glass, ceramics, cements, wood, vulcanized rubbers, and many plastics is excellent. The Master Bond Polymer System EP41S cures readily to produce an abrasion resistant, tough, strong, thermoset plastic with superior electrical insulation characteristics and a desirably low coefficient of thermal expansion. Color of part A clear; part B amber. This versatile and cost effective epoxy compound is widely used in the construction, maintenance and repair, chemical process, metalworking, appliance and electrical/electroni c industries where durable, high performance, tough coatings, liners and adhesive/sealants with outstanding resistance to organic solvents are required.
