The MS5600 liquid level switch has a stainless steel stem and a stainless steel float and is equipped with a slosh shield. A slosh shield should be considered if your operating environment contains intensive agitation of the liquid, boiling fluids, or surging due to large inflows and outflows of liquid. These turbulent conditions may result in erratic float operation. If this is not the case, the M5600 is the equivalent switch without the slosh shield equipped.
Stainless steel stems and floats are well suited for corrosive environments as well as food processing, medical, heating, and cooling applications.
The MS5600 is also available with a thermocouple or RTD integrated into the design. This elimates the need for more than multiple penetrations into the tank since both level and temperature may now be measured through one device.
