Used in active seismic surveys together with hammer as source for wave generation, aluminum plate must be used with proper preparation of ground by removing vegetation on ground surface for few centimeters. It allows to easily generate optimal waves in length and repeatability to perform almost all seismic surveys with refraction, MASW or reflection on small and medium scale, without using expensive artificial sources difficult to transport and sometimes even dangerous.
