The 1290 is an aluminum 9-volt battery holder designed for low-profile alkaline cells, featuring solder terminals and a resin-impregnated 303-P insulation. It measures 2.000 inches in length, 1.375 inches in height, and 0.875 inches in width, with four 0.130-inch diameter mounting holes. The holder includes a polyethylene polarizing washer to ensure correct polarity, and contacts are made of steel with nickel plating. Terminals are brass with tin plating. It operates from -40°F to +266°F (-40°C to +130°C), resists shock and vibration, and is impervious to most industrial solvents.
