The Genstar IV represents General Digital’s next generation of Air Traffic Control monitor. Originally developed in 1998, the Genstar™ series of LCD monitors continues to evolve with the development of new technologies and controller requirements. The newest generation packages a 21.3" UXGA LCD into the same form factor as it predecessors, making the Genstar IV a drop-in replacement for Genstar I and GenStar II monitors. The monitoring and control performance of the Genstar I/II has been enhanced to allow additional control over the systems performance by the User. The inclusion of an access display (ADIS) provides Users with an intuitive means to configure performance, view status/faults and calibrate/ control without having to block flight-critical data on the main display with an On-Screen Display (OSD). HDMI, DisplayPort and DVI ports have been added in con - junction with the analog VGA port to allow additional flex - ibility in supporting video sources. The Genstar IV is offered with three backlight options. Model 809 utilizes the OEM LED backlights and provides an economical solution for situations where maximum brightness and dimming performance is not required. Models 995 & 996 feature an enhanced LED backlight capable of display brightness >1200 nits and below 1 nit. PWM dimming control allows for precise, flicker- free >1000:1 dimming.
