Embedded Data Systems Point Sensor Temperature PS-TEMPERATURE

Description
Features - All Frequencies Digital temperature measurement 64-Bit unique ID Battery lasts from 2 to 5 years Complies with part 15 of the FCC rules Water resistant conformal coating on PCB CRC-16 error checked Status, ID and Temperature Low Cost Features - 418 MHz & 433 MHz Up to 600 foot transmission range Transmission rates from 10 to 17 seconds random Very small ABS Enclosure 1.3” X 2.1” X .6” Internal Loop antenna Features - 900 MHz Integrated 100mw, 900 MHz SSFH radio for long range performance Range Indoor: Up to 1300 feet Range Outdoor: Up to 1 mile with standard antenna Transmission rate of 5 minutes Small ABS Enclosure 3.25" X 2.5" X 1.125" External 1/4 wave antenna Part #s 3005-118 - Point Sensor Temperature, 900 MHz (3005-89 replacement) 3006-21 - Point Sensor Temperature, 418 MHz (3005-15 replacement) 5002-09-T - Point Sensor Temperature, 433 MHz The Point Sensor Temperature sensor is a battery operated digital temperature sensor with a microprocessor controlled 418 MHz, 433MHz, or 900 MHz. FCC certified radio transmitter. The Point Sensor Temperature sensor has an on board time of day clock that allows it to spend most of the time in a low power quiescent state. At predetermined time intervals the clock will wake up the onboard microprocessor. Unique serial number information and digital temperature data are read from a Dallas Semiconductor DS18B20 digital temperature sensor. This information is combined with a CRC-16 error check and transmitted in a very short data packet which results in a very short transmission time. This architecture allows the Point Sensor Temperature sensor to consume very low energy resulting in a battery life of up to 5 years. The electronics are coated with a conformal material that provides a moisture barrier against condensation; However, submersion in water is not recommended. The service switch is activated by either inserting a special tool through a hole in the top ABS cover (418 MHz & 433 MHz), or a magnet activates an internal read switch (900 MHz). The Sensor is shipped with the transmitter turned off (anytime the Sensor is to be shipped the transmitter should be turned off or must be placed in a shielded container to prevent interference that might cause shipping problems). Start the Sensor by either momentarily pushing the service sw…
