The Type 500C is a long-life, screw-terminal aluminum electrolytic capacitor designed for high-ripple applications in mainframe computers and UPS systems. It operates from -40 °C to +95 °C, with a rated voltage range of 6.3 Vdc to 550 Vdc and capacitance from 100 µF to 2.6 F. The part 500C874U016FF2D is a 870 µF, 16 Vdc unit in a 3 1/2 in diameter by 5 5/8 in length case with a high post terminal, capable of 56.7 A RMS ripple current at 85 °C and 120 Hz, and has an ESR of 2.4 mΩ.
