The NSRT_mk4_Dev is a sound level meter data logger designed for developers and OEMs, featuring a digital MEMS microphone with a typical noise floor of 30 dBA. It operates with an open communication protocol based on Virtual Com Port, allowing for real-time measurement of exponentially-averaged levels and integrated LEQs. This device is equipped with Type I precision and supports A, C, and Z weighting curves. The instrument is housed in a completely sealed weatherproof enclosure, making it suitable for outdoor applications. It includes an ePTFE membrane to protect the microphone from dust and water. The NSRT_mk4_Dev offers ultra-stable sensitivity with minimal variation due to temperature changes and vibrations. It can be field-calibrated and retains all settings in non-volatile memory, ensuring functionality after power loss. Applications include sound level and acoustic dose measurement, monitoring safe working conditions, and long-term environmental impact studies. The device is compatible with Windows, MacOS, and Linux platforms, making it versatile for various development environments.
The Sound Level Meter Data Logger NSRT_mk4_Dev is similar to the NSRT_mk4 in form, function and performance, but has been redesigned with developers in mind. This instrument is designed to be used while connected to a host such as a Raspberry Pi. In such applications the NSRT_mk4_Dev is driven by a custom application. Such application can easily configure the instrument read its data in real-time, and perform other custom functions as intended by the developer. The NSRT_mk4_Dev cannot be used in standalone mode.
