ZYGO's Optics business segment's thin-plate optics are high-aspect ratio optics (i.e. Clear Aperture to thickness) that are fabricated using a ZYGO proprietary manufacturing process that delivers optics that exceed the 0-0 MILSPEC scratch/dig requirement. These optics are compatible with high-fluence UV applications that require precise transmission and workmanship requirements while meeting large production volume requirements. Ranging in size from 100 mm square to 500 mm x 600 mm size components, ZYGO's thin-plate optics can also be imprinted with customer-defined correction prescriptions that was recently recognized by R&D magazine as one of the top manufacturing innovations in 2007. Key Features Near zero surface defects. Very high laser fluence levels. Transmitted wavefront better than λ/10 achievable.
