The ABB FGM1190 is a glass tube variable area flowmeter designed for measuring clear liquids and gases across various industrial applications, including apparatus engineering, food and beverage, water treatment, and chemicals. It operates on the float principle, where the position of the float within the conical glass tube correlates with the flow rate, which can be read on a scale attached to the tube. This flowmeter features precision tubes with guide surfaces, guide ribs, or guide rods, and comes in a standard stainless steel housing. It allows for easy disassembly of the meter tube due to an O-ring seal, enabling independent replacement of the meter tube and float. The FGM1190 can accommodate a magnetically actuated alarm signaling unit for sizes ¬O inch and larger. Various scale types are available, including directly readable flow units, percentage scales, and millimeter scales, with the option to create custom flow rate tables for specific operating conditions. The product is available in multiple designs to suit different connection standards, including DIN and ASME.
Designed for flowrate measurements in many industries including system manufacture, food, water treatment plants and chemical. Aggressive fluid applications are possible because the fluid wetted parts can be made from a wide variety of different materials.
