The LM4549AVHX is a multi-channel audio codec designed for PC systems, compliant with the AC '97 Rev 2.1 architecture. It utilizes 18-bit Sigma-Delta ADCs and DACs, providing a dynamic range of 90 dB for ADCs and 89 dB for DACs, ensuring high-quality audio performance. The codec supports full duplex stereo operation with access to multiple inputs, including 4 stereo and 4 mono inputs, each with independent gain, attenuation, and mute controls. This product features advanced sample rate conversion capabilities, allowing programmable sample rates from 4 kHz to 48 kHz in 1 Hz increments. It also includes National's 3D Sound stereo enhancement technology and supports multiple codec configurations through an Extended AC Link, enabling up to 8 simultaneous channels of streaming data.
