The SHC 071 is an IO-Link sensor hub designed to interface up to four non-IO-Link digital STEGO sensors with an IO-Link master, effectively quadrupling port capacity. It features an M12 male connector, is mounted via clip for 35 mm DIN rail or M5 screw, and has a plastic housing conforming to UL94 V-0. The device operates on 24 V DC with a power consumption of 0.5 W, supports an operating temperature range of -40 °F to 176 °F, and has IP40 protection. It complies with IO-Link Version 1.1 and IEC 61076-2-101 for its 4-pin A-coded, shielded connection. Dimensions are 1.4 in high, 4.2 in wide, and 3.4 in deep, weighing 3.9 oz.
STEGO CONNECT allows the integration of analog devices, for example heaters, filter fans, etc. into the digital world. On one side it contains digital sensors for the collection and transfer of environmental data (Remote Monitoring). On the other side, the data is used to control analog devices to improve the peripheral environment within an application. The data is transmitted via IO-Link from the sensors to the cloud. The data in the cloud (Big Data) serves as basis for the optimization of the overall application conditions.
