The Model 2505 is an optical asynchronous mini bit-driver for RS-232 data transmission over fiber optic cable at 0 to 115 Kbps in simplex or full-duplex mode. It features an ST connector for fiber interface, a metal enclosure measuring 1.75 x 3 x 0.625 inches, and operates from 0°C to 50°C with a 6600 ft (2 km) transmission range over 50-micron fiber. It supports DTE or DCE mode selection, requires an external 12 VDC power supply, and meets FCC Class A, Part 15 requirements.
