The Vacuum Compatible LTAHSPPV6 High Speed Motorized Actuator is optimized for high-speed applications and provides a 50 mm travel range. LTA actuators are designed to fit into other vacuum compatible manual stages and opto-mechanical components as direct replacements for manual micrometers Featuring a space-saving design with the motor and lead screw mounted side-by-side, the LTAHSPPV6 is ideal for space constrained setups, common to vacuum applications. This design not only reduces the actuator length by 50%, but also minimizes the unwanted effects of long cantilever loads on micro-positioning equipment. Precision motion is accomplished through a miniature stepper motor with optimized output torque. This allows for faster motion and high load capacity.
Note: The connector supplied with the actuator is not vacuum compatible due to various feed-through configurations and customer preferences. Customers are responsible for cutting the supplied cable into 2 sections and making connections made to a vacuum feedthrough/bulkhead coupling to connect the LTA-V6 actuator to a Newport controller. This note describes the steps for this procedure. Please test the actuator PRIOR to cutting the cable. Once the cable is cut, we cannot warranty the operation of the actuator. Incorrect wiring can also damage the controller. Connecting Vacuum Compatible LTA-V6
Vacuum Compatible Versions
The LTA series actuators also come in two standard stepper motor models specifically designed for vacuum applications up to 10-6 hPa and are readily available from stock.
Manual Adjustment Knob
LTA Series motorized actuators provide a manual adjustment knob which permits quick positioning of the actuator when the motor is off.
Scale Position Indication and Limit Switch
LTA Actuators include a visible scale that indicates coarse actuator position in both millimeters and inches. Beneath the scale's window is an accessible trigger which, along with the Manual Adjustment Knob, can be manually set to limit the actuator's travel range.
Non-rotating Actuator Tip
LTA actuators feature a non-rotating tip that prevents wear and eliminates periodic motion variations when the actuator is moving.
