The F-MBC (Mfg. P/N: CF01493-12) Bend-insensitive, pure silica, step index, multimode Sensor Grade Fiber features a core diameter of 400 μm. A hard clad silica 430 μm cladding enhances the fibers’ strength and fatigue resistance. A high NA of 0.37 allows greater coupling efficiencies, while making these fibers optimal for applications requiring tight bending or coiling of fibers. It's typical 500-1100 nm applications include medical, industrial and avionic sensors and instruments. The operating temperature of the F-MBC is -65°C to +125°C. This bare fiber does not include a protective fiber jacket. Standard pricing is per meter. The following volume discount schedule is applied when ordering continuous lengths of optical fiber: 10 - 49 m: 15%, 50 - 99 m: 22%, 100 - 499 m: 25%, and ≥ 500 m: 28%.
