Modern Linear Studded Guide Rollers eliminate the need for separate installation hardware. One studded roller replaces three components. There is no need to incorporate a separate bolt or bushing into a carriage assembly. Mounting is facilitated with a female hex opposite of the threaded stud, making installation and future replacement easy. The studded roller is designed with a lower profile than our individual guide rollers and bushings, creating a more compact unit. Studded rollers offer a versatile, high performance and economical solution to a wide variety of linear motion applications. There is no loss of load capacity or longevity with Modern Linear's studded guide rollers. The studded rollers incorporate the same, super-finished raceways of our guide rollers to offer superior speed and performance. These raceways translate to smoother and quieter operation in linear applications. The outer race incorporates a 90° v-groove as well as a 90° v-chamfer, which allows the roller to ride on a v-edge track or in a 90° v-groove.Modern Linear's studded guide rollers are made from 304 stainless steel (SS). The stud is swaged into the bore of the guide roller. They are available in eccentric/adjustable versions as well as concentric/stationar
y versions. Standard units come in sealed and shielded options. An "X" suffix indicates a rubber coated steel washer for sealing to protect against moist environments. Studded guide rollers are pre-lubricated with NLGI #2 grease. External lubrication is preferred for most applications, but some applications can run dry. Studded rollers are available in five sizes ranging from size 1 with 134 lbs of radial load capacity, up to size 4 with 1,058 lbs of radial load capacity. For more detailed size and load capacity information refer to the tables below.Modern Linear studded guide rollers are completely interchangeable with industry standard rollers. Studded guide rollers may also be referred to as guide wheels, v-groove bearings, and cam rollers. They are dimensionally equal to existing Dual-Vee and Schatz guide wheels, and will run on existing track.
