These transilluminators are high performance units specially designed for fluorescence analysis, including TLC plates and electrophoresis gels. They are also well suited for DNA related research. The available transilluminators are compatible with Analtech's documentation & densitometry systems. They are equipped with a powerful and highly efficient cooling fan to maximize operating intensities and lower filter surface temperatures for safe operation. In addition to the cooling fan, these transilluminators also feature a 60 minute timer for automatic unit shut-off to prevent unnecessary solarization of the filter glass. All 312nm and 365nm models are equipped with a removable, polymerbased diffusing screen attached below the filter that ensures superior light distribution and eliminates confusing light striations caused by the contours of the tubes.
