An 8-way power divider splits an input signal into eight output signals with minimal losses. 8-way power dividers are widely used in wireless systems requiring an even division of input power, providing signals at 8 output ports. Unless otherwise specified, the output signals generated by an 8-way power divider are usually of equal amplitude and phase. Based on the system requirement dividers with can vary the amplitude and phase of the signals at the output.
KRYTAR MLDD 8-way power dividers lend themselves to emerging wireless ultra-broadband designs and many test and measurement applications. KRYTAR has used its proprietary design to produce a wide assortment of matched-line directional dividers (MLDD) with ultra-high performance over a broadband frequency range. KRYTAR MLDD 8-way power dividers are a new class of patented directional devices.
KRYTAR’s MLDD 4-way power divider, Model 8010180, offers high performance over the broadband frequency range of 1.0 to 18.0 GHz (L thru Ku-Bands) in a compact, lightweight package.
KRYTAR’s technological advances provide excellent operating performance of this new 8-way unit. Model 8010180 covers the full frequency range from 1.0 to 18.0 GHz with >17 dB Isolation, ±1.0 dB of maximum Amplitude Tracking and maximum Phase Tracking is ±15 degrees. Amplitude and Phase Tracking are the ratio of one output to the other output in dB or degrees respectively. Units with tighter amplitude and Phase Tracking specifications can be supplied. Contact the factory with your requirements. This 8-way divider exhibits Insertion Loss of 5.5 dB across the full frequency range. Input VSWR is 2.10 and Output VSWR is 1.75. Input power rating is 10 watts with 2:1 load VSWRs.
The power divider is a compact package measuring just 5.96 inches (L) x 4.75 inches (W) x 0.52 inches (H), weighs only 22.5-ounces, and comes with standard 3.5-mm coaxial female connectors.
KRYTAR’s new power divider offers the widest frequency coverage in a single package on the market and provides superior performance. Targeting broadband electronic warfare (EW) systems and complex switch-matrix applications, for example, KRYTAR has used its proprietary design to produce a wide assortment of matched-line directional dividers (MLDD) with ultra-high performance over a broadband frequency range. The directional coupler can also be manufactured to meet ridged military specifications.
KRYTAR also offers complete engineering services for custom designs that meet or exceed critical performance and/or packaging specifications.
