OVERVIEW
The great advantage of the 5877E & 5877F compared to many of the other instruments on the market is its simple set-up.
5877E & 5877F are used for measuring insulation resistance of insulating materials and various electric equipment such as Power transformers, electric motors, cables, bushings, current transformer and other switchyard equipment. It can be used for measuring their absorption index (R60s/R15s) and polarization index (R10min/R1min).
5877E & 5877F are designed to take measurements in switchyard of up to 765 KV level and discharges the test object after every test to ensure safety of operator. Guard terminal is also provided to eliminate the effect to surface leakage current.
