The SABMB810024 is a 4-channel supercapacitor auto-balancing PCB with one ALD810025SCLI MOSFET installed, designed to balance two to four supercapacitors in series with near-zero additional power dissipation. The board measures 0.6 in. by 1.6 in. and includes mounting holes. It is rated for industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and is RoHS compliant. The PCB features two 8-lead SOIC and one 16-lead SOIC footprint for flexible MOSFET configuration, supports cascading with other SABMB boards, and includes optional external Schottky diode clamping for transient protection. Maximum voltage per board is 15.0V.
ALD offers a line of Supercapacitor Auto Balancing Integrated Circuits (IC) as well as SAB and SABOVP (Over-Voltage Protection) Printed Circuit Boards (PCB). The SAB PCBs provide active continuous leakage current regulation and self-balancing of unlimited quantities of stacked series-connected supercapacitors. These products, when used in appropriately designed applications, dissipate near-zero leakage currents, practically eliminating extra power dissipation. Supercapacitors connected in series stacks can be balanced with various combinations of multiple cascaded SABMB or SABMBOVP packages.
