The MagWave Dual Chamber Level System, part number MW05, features a dual chamber design that separates the level indicator float from the Guided Wave Radar (GWR) antenna, allowing for unobstructed float travel and reducing the risk of fouling associated with coaxial probes. The system is available in various materials, including 304SS, 316SS, Hastelloy C-276, and Alloy 20, with multiple chamber sizes and configurations tailored to specific applications. It supports a wide range of connection sizes and ratings, from 1/2 inch threaded couplings to 2-1/2 inch 1500# flanges. The MagWave system is designed for high visibility, featuring customizable indicators and options for magnetically actuated switches and transmitters. It operates effectively across a temperature range of -60¬8F to 800¬8F (-51¬8C to 427¬8C) and can withstand pressures up to 3000 psi (207 bar). The system is suitable for various industrial applications, including those requiring hazardous area approvals, such as FM, CSA, and ATEX certifications. Additional accessories, such as insulation blankets and valves, can be integrated to enhance functionality.
The MagWave features two separate close-coupled chambers for the level indicator float and the Guided Wave Radar antenna. Using single probe radar transmitters in the standard 1-1/2 inch chamber provides the measurement capabilities of coaxial style probes without the potential for fouling due to buildup. The separate float chamber allows the float to travel unobstructed throughout the range of measurement. Redundant level control can be achieved by adding a magnetostrictive transmitter or switches to the float chamber.
