A short range (0.25 to 5m) ultrasonic transmitter from Siemens. Ultrasonic transducers work by emitting a sound pulse over 20kHz towards the level of material to be measured, the time taken for the reflected pulse to return to the transducer is used to calculate the distance between the ultrasonic transmitter and the level being monitored. Siemens ultrasonic transducer use Sonic Intelligence Echo Processing to ensure readings are accurate and not influenced by false echos, obstructions or electrical interference. Suitable for various applications including Chemical storage tanks, liquid storage, food applications and filter beds. Sonic Intelligence echo processing. IP65 protection. 4 to 20 mA output. Error in measurement 0.25% of range. 54 kHz frequency.
