If you're planning on taking the green approach to building your PC, sometimes it's OK to just take things literally and go with the color. Sure, it may be environmentally-frie ndly (thanks to its ultra long lifespan), but most importantly, this cathode is just plain GREEN. Cold Cathode lighting is the most commonly used form of case lighting on the market. Advancing on the standard 12V neon, cold cathode lamps operate by use on a power inverter, which converts the standard 12V input to hundreds of volts of power. This is done by minimizing the amperage, via the inverter unit. The end effect is an intensely bright and thin tube, the most popular form of lighting today. Our cathodes are fine tuned to push out as much brightness as possible, while still keeping the best lifespan to brightness ratios. Our cathodes will operate for up to 30,000 hours of burn time, while still competing with the brightest tubes on the market. The bulb here can be used as a secondary attachment to the cathode that you have now. This cathode comes with no inverter, just a bulb. You simply plug this light into your inverter and you are good to go. The best part about these bulbs is that when they are used with a sound activated kit they are sound activated, and when they are used with a normal kit they are normal. This cathode cannot be used alone, you must have a dual inverter. All of our cathode kits come with dual inverters.
