Nuvoton Technology Corp. America Interface - CODECs W6811IS

The W6811 is a single-channel PCM CODEC designed for general-purpose applications, compliant with the ITU G.712 specification. It operates with separate analog (5V) and digital (3V) power supplies and is available in multiple package options including 24-pin PDIP, SOG, SSOP, and TSSOP. The device features pin-selectable companding options of Oº-Law or A-Law and includes on-chip digitization and reconstruction of voice signals, along with necessary band limiting and smoothing filters. This CODEC supports a variety of master clock rates ranging from 256 kHz to 4.096 MHz and is equipped with a precision voltage reference and a power amplifier capable of driving 300Oc loads differentially up to 6.3V peak-to-peak. The W6811 is specified for operation over an industrial temperature range of -40¬8C to +85¬8C, making it suitable for various applications including digital telephone systems, VoIP terminals, and ISDN terminals. Typical power dissipation is 25 mW, with a power-down mode consuming 0.5 mW. Pb-Free and RoHS compliant package options are also available.
