Universal signal isolating converters/trip amplifiers have the option on the input side for recording any standardised current/voltage signals, temperature measurements from 2/3/4-wire RTD sensors, conventional thermocouples or linear and non-linear resistors. They can also be used to evaluate Namur frequencies or 2/3-NPN/PNP transmitters.
The signal curves from any type of sensor can be saved and linearised internally. Standardised DC current/voltage signals are available on the output side.
Limit values can be monitored via additional switching outputs (relay/transistor).
The devices are provided with an external 24 VDC or AC/DC wide-voltage power supply or can be optionally fed via the 4...20 mA output current loop.
Their feature set makes them suitable for a wide range of industrial and process automation applications: with high accuracy, a wide temperature range and complete 2/3-way isolation.
They can be configured using vendor-specific software (T-SET) or standardised software tools (FDT/ DTM).
These isolating converters have international approvals (cULus, ATEX Zone2, FM Div 2, GL,DNV) which enable them to be used worldwide for many applications.
